The Los Angeles County Departments of Public Works and Fire commissioned for a new state-of-the-art Fire Station to be located in Santa Clarita near the edge of the Angeles National Forest.  The County desired for this new facility to achieve a LEED Gold Certification at completion of the project.

Design West Engineering completed all designs for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low voltage systems within the building and across the site.  Design West assisted the team in achieving many credits required to meet LEED Gold Certification.

The facility is 19,000 square feet and includes 10 dual bunk dormitories, an exercise room, day quarters, offices, a conference room, a training classroom, a fire engine garage with 3 drive-through bays, truck engine exhaust system, robust audio visual systems for training, emergency call system and data room, and an emergency backup power generator and UPS system.

At its time of opening in 2013, Fire Station #150 was the largest station within the LA County Fire Department.
